Complementary Therapy

Take some time out to relax and book a session with our in-house complementary therapist, Denise. Therapies such as massage, reflexology, and aromatherapy can comfort and soothe, relieve stress and anxiety.

Complementary therapies are supportive practices that also work alongside medical treatment.

We can discuss which therapies may be suitable for you, and whether you wish to come to the hospice or stay in the comfort of your own home.

Therapeutic massage

Gentle, rhythmic touch and stroking movements using nourishing oils to help you to feel relaxed.

A massage can take place on a bed, chair or therapy couch, wherever you feel most at ease. If preferred the massage can take place over clothing.

Facial massage

Using a bespoke blend of serums, a facial massage can be combined with a head massage and Gua sha treatment using a massage tool.

Aromatherapy

Uses essential oils to stimulate or calm the mind. During a massage, the essential oils are warm and comforting.

Reflexology

Reflexology involves the application of pressure to the feet. It works on the nerve pathways to produce effects in the rest of the body. It can be adapted to suit the needs of the clien, and can be done on the hands if preferred.
